Yoffee
I was looking for a disinfecting shower gel because I'm doing a bit of remedial gardening, and I often have unpleasant encounters with stinging nettle, rose thorns and insect bites. Also in warm weather my cats want to tread as usual and my legs are scratched to pieces. So I use this gel on my feet, but also on itchy and damaged skin.
I love the clean, sparkling fragrance and the inclusion of botanical extracts. I use essential oils extensively, and the ones in this gel are some of my favourites: Tea Tree Oil, Rosemary, Mint and Eucalyptus. To nourish and sooth irritation there is Aloe Vera, Coconut and other oils. |
The plastic bottle holds 300 ml, and the gel suds well so I don't need very much at all. This is a cruelty-free product, not tested on animals and free from noxious chemicals like parabens and phthalates. The gel leaves behind a fresh scent and seems to be helping heal the scratches really fast. This is a bit of a specialist product, but it can also be used as a normal shower gel because it does not dry the skin, in fact quite the opposite. Just be careful and avoid sensitive and intimate areas, it can sting.
I spend many hours each day at my desk, doing computer work, and by evening my neck and back muscles are often in knots. I often use gels with menthol, but the aroma of the more aggressive sports preparations can be overpowering.
This soothing, pain reducing lotion works very well for me and has a very pleasant, fresh scent of essential oils. The active ingredients are natural ones like peppermint, eucalyptus and arnica (an anti-inflammatory). I also like that it's presented as a roll-on. I can easily apply it myself to any area of my back. It also works on any joint or other area prone to muscular or arthritic pain. My husband uses is on a once-broken wrist which tends to swell when stressed, and I have had some good results in managing my chronic hip joint pain. |
The lotion is very gentle on the skin. I don't notice any dramatic warming effect, but my neck, particularly, feels better very quickly. The gel is absorbed well and, as far as I can see, does not stain my clothes. The 90 ml in the bottle is lasting well with two of us using it once a day, at least. As well as being free of toxic ingredients, this product is also not tested on animals.
This light body oil is intended to address the stretch marks and loss of elasticity that occur during and after pregnancy, however, it is equally useful as a massage oil for body, legs and arms any time your skin needs a bit of toning and hydration. It absorbs well, but it allows me time for a good massage before sinking in.
I have some faint stretch marks from a weight change some years ago, and scars from insect bites. I'm not sure what to expect from a cosmetic viewpoint, but I'm very pleased with the toning effect on the wrinkly skin around my knees. It seems to be firming it up as well as leaving a very smooth finish. The dark brown glass bottle contains 100 ml which is lasting me well. There is lots left after two weeks of once-daily use. This product is not tested on animals, and totally natural. The base is organic Argan oil, with the addition of essential oils to regenerate skin and improve tone and circulation (sunflower seed, macadamia, sweet almond, soybean, avocado, corn, and one of my favourite, rose hip oil). The one that seems most prominent to my nose is the sweet orange, so the scent is very citrussy but sweet rather than sharp. It's a beautiful scent. |
