Lapasa Women's Activewear
Based on previous experience, I was going to ask for a size Large but the vendor assured me that the size chart was accurate and so it is. I'm 5'8”, not exceptionally tall but usually have trouble finding leggings that are long enough. Matching my measurements to the size chart, I got a size Medium which turned out to be perfect for me (my usual dress size is UK 10). The leggings look short out of the box but, once on, stretch from the waistline to over the ankles and don't ride up or down, at least during my yoga and treadmill workout. I find them really comfortable to wear, and not just in the gym. I got them in Navy, a lovely dark blue shade, and they also look good with a long sweater or loose top for everyday wear.
The fabric is a blend of 88% Polyester and 12% Spandex; very elastic, quite opaque and of medium thickness. They are not quite compression leggings but more supportive than most. They came through the wash well, using cool water and hanging to dry, which is the usual way to treat these types of fabrics. Despite the low price, manufacture, finishing and stitching are very good. I'm not crazy about the multi-coloured striped print but in solid colours, they look fine. This brand makes fabulous vests for men, so I was not surprised by the high quality of these leggings. |
Elasticated Bralette
I find this elasticated bralette supremely comfortable. The wide elastic band holds it in place without interfering with my movements or my breathing (I have very low tolerance for restrictive garments). I ordered a Small and the fit is perfect for me (my usual bra size is 32B).
The fabric (a mix of 44% cotton, 44% Modal , and 12% Spandex) is incredibly soft and stretches in all directions, but also offers all the support I need for my cardio session, yoga, walking or relaxing at home (for a C cup or larger, the support may not be enough). It deals brilliantly with sweating and temperature changes. The bralette is beautifully finished, no loose threads or visible imperfections and the racerback shape allows total freedom of movement for arms and shoulders. For wearing in public, I would consider this an item of underwear but, even so, I need to add foam cups to use it under summer's thin T-shirts or tight gym tops. It's great to have the choice, though. I love all the bright colour options. I chose the crimson, and also have the matching slip. It washes well in cool water and has been in the washing machine on the delicate cycle several times without any change in shape, or loss of elasticity. |
Elasticated Women's Briefs
I got these briefs to go with the matching bralette and, together, they look great. The cut, and especially the fabric, are really comfortable. They are my new favourites. I ordered a Medium, which fits me well (my UK size is 10, waist 29” and hips 38”).
The fabric (a mix of 44% cotton, 44% Modal , and 12% Spandex) is incredibly soft and stretches in all directions. It deals brilliantly with sweating and temperature changes. I used to look for 100% cotton for underwear, but these new synthetics are actually better. The cut looks low but fits me higher than in the photos, without pulling or bunching. The wide elastic band stays in place without chafing. Excellent flat stitching, no loose threads or visible imperfections. As with the bra, there is a vast range of bright colours available. I chose the crimson (my photos should give an accurate representation). Very easy to wash by hand or machine. They have been through a delicate cycle, cool water, several times without any change in shape, or loss of elasticity. Well-priced, as there are two sets of briefs in the box. |
