Kurtzy
These clear acrylic organizers are proving to be really versatile and, once you start using them, they become indispensable. Kurtzy sent me a free sample of this latest model with a request to try it out and post my experience. Well, it's been entirely positive. I love this organizer! With its three see-through drawers and irregular small compartments in the top tray, it lends itself to many uses.
Although ideal for cosmetics and jewellery, it's also perfect for my collection of ribbons, special thread and sewing notions, and I'll never lose a thimble or box of needles again! The other thing I love about these clear acrylic organizers is that they make anything you store inside look pretty and, because of the perfect transparency, they are huge time savers. The top tray is actually quite stable in its groove, so they must have improved the design from earlier models. Also very easy to clean and the soft mesh liners effectively stop things sliding about in the drawers. I can also comment on durability, as my original caddy has been in use for a year and it still looks brand new. Excellent product! |
This organizer was sent to me free of charge for evaluation purposes, and it has turned out to be exactly what I needed. Since I started collecting essential oils, I have been looking for a suitable way to store them so they are accessible and organized. I have tried keeping them in boxes of various sizes but they invariably get mixed up or topple over and I can't find anything easily. This clear acrylic display unit has three tiers and I was able to arrange 33 bottles in alphabetical order. Brilliant!

There was minimal assembly required, just securing the two wings with 4 small screws and nuts (provided). I think this organizer was designed specifically for nail polish bottles, but it can adapt to many other uses involving small containers.

I had studied the dimensions and thought it would work for me, but was absolutely delighted when I started arranging the oils and saw just how perfectly they sit on the three steps.
The clear acrylic plastic is smoothly machined but the straight bottom edges could scratch delicate surfaces, so a mat might be required underneath. This display unit is a bit different from the other Kurtzy ones made for make-up and jewellery; it reminds me of a shop display stand, but the unique shape and dimensions make it exceptionally useful for things that don't fit in other organizers. |
Last year I got a similar organizer for some of my smaller make-up items and it has literally changed the way I do things in that department. No more searching through make-up bags, or messy drawers. So, when offered the chance to try out this two-tier organizer for review purposes, I was delighted to accept.
There are two pieces: the base unit consists of two shallow drawers lined with a soft, plastic mesh material to stop things sliding about; the top tray is divided asymmetrically in several small compartments: four small slots (ideal for lipsticks, lip glosses and tubes of mascara), a curved open section (where I keep lip balms), two more slots at the back with higher sides (for make-up brushes, for example) and an open section for larger items, like nail polish, jars or perfume bottles. As you can see, this variety of compartments offers a lot of flexibility to hold small items and all the bits and pieces that get lost in larger containers. The drawers are small (18 x 10 cm) and hold a couple of compacts each; they would also be ideal for bracelets, necklaces, hair clips. |
We all have our small treasures that are difficult to store and these perfectly see-through organizers become quite addictive. Also useful for sewing and craft supplies, jewellery, ribbons. Once you have one, you will find lots of uses for it.
This is a good quality item: the clear acrylic plastic is thick and solid; the drawers slide surprisingly easily. The only thing that could be better is that the top unit only barely sits over the drawer unit, and could be dislodged by a careless movement. It would be nice if the top could be made to slot in a little more securely. Apart from that small criticism, I find this holder incredibly useful and really pretty to look at, regardless of what you fill it with.

Since I started using one of these acrylic organizers last year, I have become sort of addicted. When Kurtzy extended an invitation to try out their version of these products, I was curious to see how it would compare.
Their range includes a number of acrylic organizer in different shapes and sizes so there is a great choice depending on what you want to store. However, it's difficult to decide what gets the star treatment: cosmetics, make-up, creams, jewellery, sewing notions? I have lots of small objects that benefit greatly from being organized in a see-through display that looks this pretty, so this is my third one. |
It is a small chest with four drawers, two wide (22 x 12 cm approx.) and two half size, side by side. The soft mesh fabric keeps your stuff from sliding about but can be removed if you don't need it, or you can use your own fabric liners, lace or even paper. Originally I envisaged using this to store small electronic components such as short USB charging cables, plug converters, mp3s, Bluetooth transmitters, and the like but, having filled it with jewellery to take my photos, I think I've changed my mind. See, that's the problem. These units are too versatile, and too decorative!
The materials used are of very good quality: the clear acrylic plastic is solid and quite thick; the drawers slide smoothly and retract fully into the box, giving good protection from dust; the moulded handles of the same clear plastic are easy to grasp; there's nothing cheap about it. The chest sits squarely on a table or vanity and I found that one of my old make-up organizers fits perfectly over the top, making it into a 2-tier little cabinet. I was hoping to find one with slots large enough for bottles of essential oils. That would be terrific, as I have more than 40 sliding about in a large box. Maybe the one for nail polish bottles would work?
