This item was provided for evaluation and review, and I have to say it's just about the most gorgeous corset I've ever seen! I chose the White option because I think the brocade design shows up best in a light colour. In person it is absolutely stunning!
The design, the trim and the fabric are all top notch. It is strongly built with supple boning, a modesty panel at the back, and six solid-looking metal hooks (plenty, in my opinion) but, unlike some others that are cut straight, it actually has a waisted, hourglass shape, so your natural, feminine contours are enhanced without having to do it all with the laces. The quality of manufacture is excellent, not a stitch out of place or a loose thread anywhere. I found it easy to put on because the six hooks are at the front, so I just loosened the ribbons, engaged the hooks and then customized the fit by pulling the laces at the back. |
There is also a small extra ribbon at the very top to make a little bow. Even the matching thong is prettier than usual, despite it being a very basic triangle of fabric held up by thin elastic. This style of corset has no underwire, padding or cups at chest level (see my photos) and the push-up effect is due to the tightening, so it's important to get the correct size.
Wise from my previous experience with similar corsets that turned out to be too big, I asked for a Medium, based on my usual size 10. If I had followed the guidance for waist size (mine is 28 inches), it would have been much too large! As I've learnt, you can easily make the corset larger by opening the ribbons, but if it's exactly the right size, no adjustment is possible.
If you are looking for a stunning period corset, this brand and style would be a great choice. The quality and visual appeal are very high, it's comfortable to wear and at the current price of about $17, it looks fabulous and is surprisingly well made.

Sent to me for evaluation and review, I chose the Purple corset because I love the colour (it's fabulous in person) and the lace panel makes it very slimming. This corset is absolutely beautiful and quite elaborate with lace trimming at top and bottom, satin bows and ribbons to close it. It makes a great first impression, and packaging and presentation are lovely and very suitable for a gift. My corset arrived accompanied by a long-stemmed pink silk rose and a personalized message (with an old-fashioned wax seal on the envelope, very charming).
The design, fabric, lace insert, bows, ribbons and manufacture are first class. It's easy to put on because the six hooks are at the front, and then you pull the ribbons at the back to suit your figure. I found that the best way is to loosen the back a bit so you don't have to struggle to engage the hooks at the front. The thong included is a bit plain, basically a triangle of fabric held up by elastic. However, it does match the corset. This style of corset is reinforced by supple boning and has no underwire, padding or cups at the top (see my photos). It's basically a straight shape and the push-up effect is due to the tightening, so it's important to get the correct size. I misread the chart and got a size Large, which is actually too big for me. I'm normally a UK size 10, US size 8. Based on my measurements, I should have asked for a Medium, which would have been perfect, but the chart confused me. So disregard the first column (Waist) and find your measurements in the next column (Suit Waist) and the ones following. Measure yourself carefully and, if in doubt, do NOT size up. This corset is very true to size, and you can always open the laces a bit if necessary. |
If you are looking for a stunning period corset, this brand and style would be a great choice. The quality and visual appeal are very high, it's comfortable to wear and I like the playful nod to those flashy costumes worn by saucy saloon girls in movies about the wild west. At the current price of less than £12, it looks fabulous and is surprisingly well made.
Shapewear seems to be back in fashion, especially when it is as pretty and comfortable to wear as this corset.
The nude colour makes it suitable to go under almost any garment and the fact that it does not include a bra is a plus, because it prolongs the useful life of the corset and leaves you free to top it with whatever fits best. When I was offered a sample for evaluation, I did not think I would want to wear it very often but I have found that it does give me better posture, reducing lower back pain. I am very curious about the claim that, in time, it can help burn fat and reduce your waistline. PLEMO say it would take a month or two of daily wear, so I'll have to wait a bit longer to verify that. |
